Swing Bed / Skilled Care
Transitional Care
A Rehabilitation Swing Bed Program is a temporary, short term rehabilitation hospital admission for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, activity therapy, IV antibiotics, and 24 hour skilled nursing care. Patients can potentially qualify for skilled care after a 3 day hospital stay, and their rehabilitation in this program can last anywhere from a day or two to a month. In our Transitional Care / Swing Bed program, care is coordinated between the doctor covering the patient and the floor’s qualified nursing staff. This way, other services such as therapy, lab work, and respiratory come to the floor rather than having the patient move from place to place around the hospital.
Adams County Regional Medical Center Transitional Care / Swing Bed Program provides a compassionate and skilled team of physicians, therapists, and nurses who work closely with our patients to help them achieve their highest level of independence possible. We are dedicated to providing patients with individualized treatment programs that relieve pain, increase strength, restore mobility, and improve function.
Adams County Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Swing Bed Program is a certified agency under the Medicare Program and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Medicare, Medicare HMO’s and most major insurances are accepted. We are not Medicaid certified.
