Scholarships:


Adams County Regional Medical Center provides scholarship opportunities annually. Scholarship application packets are:

     • Available in February
     • Provided to all county high school guidance counselors
     • Available at Adams County Regional Medical Center Administration Office
     • Awarded in May
    

Scholarships are available to high school seniors and other individuals pursuing health related careers. Three of the five scholarship awards are limited to current year graduates.

The following scholarships are awarded annually:
     • ACRMC Board of Trustees Scholarships.
     • ACRMC Auxiliary Health Career Scholarship
     • Johnson Memorial Health Related Scholarship
     • Phyllis Mosier Memorial Nursing Scholarship
     • Adams County Health Related aka David Pixley Memorial Scholarship—Requires separate application provided by The
        Scioto County Area Foundation, which manages the scholarship fund.

The ACRMC Board of Trustees awards four $1000.00 scholarships each year. The scholarships are available to students who are interested in health-related careers. One scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior at each of the four high schools in Adams County

The ACRMC Auxiliary Health Career Scholarship fund provides financial assistance to any student who is pursuing a degree in a health-related field and who plans to return to our community to practice at ACRMC or in Adams County. The number and amount of the scholarship award varies and is based on financial need and academic excellence. The recipient does not need to be a current year graduate.

The Johnson Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of Earl and Helen Johnson by their son, William R. Johnson, is designed to recognize individuals, within the county and/or Ohio Valley Local School District or Manchester Local School District, who are interested in a health related field and plan to return to Adams County to practice. The amount of this award, administered by ACRMC, is based on student need, length of the program and other circumstances. The recipient does not need to be a current year graduate.

The Phyllis Mosier Memorial Nursing Scholarship, a $500 award, was established in memory of Mrs. Phyllis Mosier by her daughter, Ms. Judy Campbell. This scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a Registered Nurse degree and is based on demonstrated need and academic excellence. Special consideration is given to graduates of West Union High School.

The Adams County Health Related Scholarship, formerly the David Pixley Memorial Scholarship, was established in memory of the long-time Adams County physician. It is awarded to a current year graduate of an Adams County High School who is pursuing a health related career. The amount of this award varies and is awarded to a student based on demonstrated need, academic excellence and a desire to provide valuable health care in Adams County. Funds for the Adams County Health Related Scholarship are managed and dispersed through the Scioto County Area Foundation. Selection of scholarship recipient is made by the ACRMC Scholarship Committee.
