Adams County Regional Medical Center treats all patients with dignity from the
bedside to the billing office. We feel it is the right thing to do. We do so
regardless of race, sex, creed, citizenship or ability to pay.
Adams County Regional Medical Center’s billing and collection policies are
consistent with our mission and values. When you receive a bill from Adams
County Regional Medical Center, it covers the services you received at our
healthcare facility. You may receive separate bills from your personal physician,
specialist, pathologist, surgeon, radiologist, or other healthcare professional.
Adams County Regional Medical Center will bill your insurance carrier, Medicare,
Medicaid or Commercial Insurance for services you receive at Adams County Regional
Medical Center. We will ask to make a copy of your insurance card at the time you
register for services in order to have your correct insurance information.
If there is a remaining balance on your account, after your insurance has paid for
services, the Billing Department will send you a bill for the account balance.
If you have specific questions about your account or need to update your information,
you may contact the Billing Department, at any of the phone numbers above, between
the hours of 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Payments may be made via the telephone by calling our Credit/Collections Department
at any of the phone numbers above. Adams County Regional Medical Center accepts
Visa, MasterCard, Discover or debit card. Payments may also be mailed to Adams
County Regional Medical Center.
Adams County Regional Medical Center has several financial assistance options to
assist you, such as:

Ohio Health Care Assurance Program (HCAP)

The Ohio Health Care Assurance Program or HCAP is a state program that discounts
hospital charges in full when the patient is income eligible. Physician fees are not
included in this program.

Sliding fee
Sliding fee is an income based program designed to assist our patients with paying
their bills. Patients who qualify for sliding fee are eligible to have their hospital
bill reduced based on their income. The 40% discount does not apply to physician
fees, such as Radiologists or Pathologists bills.

Payment plans
We will work with you to set up affordable payments for your hospital services.

hospital bill in payments.

Self pay discount
Adams County Regional Medical Center offers a 40% discount on hospital services that
are paid in full within 3 months of the date services were rendered. The 40%
discount does not apply to physician fees, such as Radiologists or Pathologists bills.
Bills may be sent to an outside Collection Agency when:
• patients have the ability to pay some portion of their healthcare expenses
but refuse to do so.
• patients refuse to work with us to determine if they qualify for free or
discounted care via federal, state, local or hospital assistance programs.
• patients have the ability to pay some portion of their healthcare expenses

• we are unable to locate the patient or the person responsible for the bill.
